Courage and Injustice

In this deeply moving video, we share the heartbreaking story of a father from Guatemala who crossed the border, holding onto his young child and a fragile dream for a better life. But that dream was shattered when Border Patrol agents took his child from his arms, telling him coldly, “Say goodbye, because you will never see him again.”

Torn apart and deported, this father was sent back to Guatemala—alone, devastated, and without his child. Yet even in the face of unimaginable pain, he never lost hope.

Through the tireless efforts of Al Otro Lado, this father and his child were finally reunited in the United States under a Humanitarian Visa—a moment that restored not just a family, but faith in compassion and justice.

This story is more than a headline—it’s a reminder of the courage and love that drive parents to risk everything, and of the urgent need for humanity, advocacy, and justice for migrant families everywhere.
