Empower our fellow migrant communities by providing robust legal and social services, while collaborating with them in monitoring, documentation, and data analysis of human rights violations by US immigration authorities, which is instrumental in our impact litigation work to hold the US government accountable

Legal Services

  • Know-Your-Rights Trainings at our TJ office and virtually through partner organizations throughout the US and Latin America

  • Legal accompaniment to US ports of entry for LGBTQ+ unaccompanied minors and those with approved medical parole appointments

  • Help obtain humanitarian parole and screen for legal relief for medically vulnerable LGBTQ+ asylum seekers

  • After crossing into the US: Connection to AOL’s legal representation team in Los Angeles and San Diego

Social Services

  • Humanitarian aid (i.e food, water, clothes, hygiene supplies, baby formula)

  • Coordination to LGBTQ+ affirming shelters

  • Accompaniment to medical (including HIV and hormones) and psychiatric appointments

  • Address discrimination experienced by LGBTQ+ asylum seekers in legal, medical, and educational settings

Advocacy and Empowerment

  • Trans Day of Visibility Protest Pride

  • Protest Empowerment workshops (i.e. photography, poetry, self-defense)

  • State-level advocacy for name and gender marker change services
